how long does it usually take to gain access to the restricted tubes?

while craig tries his best to provide access to the restricted area in as timely a fashion as possible, he is not always able to due to his work schedule and commitments. this means you may have to wait up to (but no longer than) four (4) weeks for your access to be granted. typically, however, your access should be granted within one (1) week of your application for a username being made.

managing the psp kill zone™ is quite a manual process for craig, involving matching Paypal payments with access requests and email addresses in the Yahoo™ group member list. they do not always correlate as expected. sometimes, incorrect information is provided in the request form. sometimes emails bounce back.

Yahoo™ and AOL™ mail servers also have built in junk mail filters that, depending on your settings, sometimes filter craig's email replies straight into them. it is good policy, if you are a member of one of these email clients, to check your junk mail folders if you've been waiting a couple of weeks for craig's reply.

please know that every effort is being made to make this process more efficient for everyone... but understand that it is a one-man show... and sometimes that means some people have to wait longer than others.

that said, the onus does fall upon those joining the psp kill zone™ to follow ALL of the steps in the application process. many people fail to go to step 4 and request their username via the simple form provided.

what do i do if i've lost my password?

first and foremost, all users should be aware that passwords and usernames are the responsibility of the user to keep and remember. you are strongly encouraged to store your access information in a safe place for future reference.

however, in the event that you have not and you can no longer remember your password, then you should send an email to register@looks-can-kill.net with as much information as you can remember provided.

the kind of information that is useful to help craig track down your details includes:

  • the username you think you might have joined with
  • any and all email addresses you might also have provided at the time of your application
  • your full name and/or any aliases you might be using, either in psp forums or the Yahoo™ group
  • the rough time you sent your Paypal donation
  • if you have a copy of your Paypal receipt, attach a full copy of it

DO NOT email the Yahoo™ group. craig does not always read all of the emails in this group. the only way you can be certain of getting his attention is to send an email to the address above.

what is the difference between the "psp kill zone™" and the "all-new subscriber gallery"?

since it's introduction in november 2006 there has been a great deal of confusion surrounding the subscriber gallery.

first and foremost, the psp kill zone™ and the all-new subscriber gallery are completely different things. however, a US$20 fee is required for access to each of these areas of the looks can kill™ site, which may explain some of the confusion.

in very lay terms, the psp kill zone™ is for psp-ers -- for tubers, for taggers, who want to use craig's girls in their work. members of the psp kill zone™ have access to in excess of 50 perfect tubes of craig's pin-ups as prepared by craig himself. they may use these tubes freely in their psp tags and websets, but only the tubes contained in the restricted area. for this access, members make a one-time-ever Paypal donation of US$20.

the all-new subscriber gallery, on the other hand, is a hidden sub-section of the on-line gallery (found here) that contains high-resolution versions of the smaller images you can see for free. it does not contain higher-resolution tubes for use in tags. real fans of craig's art who want to see his work in more detail will typically subscribe to this section of the gallery, and this subscription costs a one-time-ever amount of US$20, also payable through Paypal.

once again, the all-new subscriber gallery IS NOT a repository of high-resolution tubes for use in psp. the only place to find tubes for use in tags is in the psp kill zone™.

if you want access to both the tubes and the high-resolution art, you must join both parts of the looks can kill™ site. yes, this will cost you US$40... but only once. access to each section requires slightly different steps be followed, and in each case an access request form must ultimately be filled out. however, users requesting access to the psp kill zone™ should not confuse the form provided in the gallery with the form they need to fill out for access to the tubes... which is actually this one, as clearly described in step 4 of the application process.

do i need to put a license number on my tags using craig's art?

no you do not. trust us when we say that craig is smart enough to know, and artistic enough to tell, when one of his pieces of art is being used from somewhere other than the psp kill zone™.

the only thing you must include is craig's copyright information as specified by his terms of use.

but what if the psp group i belong to needs a license number?

then use your Paypal receipt number or transaction ID. one or other of these numbers should have been sent to you from Paypal when you made your donation, and either will suffice for "licensing" purposes.

once again, craig does not require that you include a license number on your tags. generally, he believes tags look better without said numbers, and you should feel free to tell your group managers as much!

what is that little square tag on some of craig's tubes, and do i need to keep it there?

that little square tag is actually craig's signature. it would be nice if you could keep it there, but it is not mandatory that you do so. feel free to use your artistic judgment in this regard. if it looks like it needs to be moved, or removed, you may absolutely do so.

can i tube the images in the gallery and use those tubes in tags?

yes, you may tube anything you like... but NO, you may not use those tubes in your tags. in accordance with the terms of use (amended november 2006):

  • "tubing" of images in the free-access gallery is allowed, but only for practice purposes. any tubes created from original art in the gallery MAY NOT be used in tags, even by psp kill zone™ members.
  • requests for particular images in the gallery to appear as tubes in the psp kill zone™ may be made to psp@looks-can-kill.net. send a small copy of the image you want to see. periodically, the official tubed versions of these images will be uploaded to the sanctioned tubes restricted area. once it is in this area, it may then be used in signatures, but only once it is in this area.

may i crop the tubes?

yes.

may i grey/gray-scale them?

yes.

remember... membership of the psp kill zone™ affords you the right to do with the tubes in the restricted area as you please... but only in respect of the terms of use.

may i use stock images with the tubes?

in a general sense, you may use any images you like along with the tubes (see the exception below with respect to images from the looks can kill™ gallery), so long as they are appropriately credited. obviously, my main concern is that any tag that uses one of my girls in it has my correct copyright on it, per the terms of use.

but you should be sensible enough and aware enough of general copyright issues to know when you should, or don't need to, credit the other elements you are using in your tag.

where do i report violations?

you may report violations to psp@looks-can-kill.net. though i do not always have to time to follow up on infringements of copyright or my terms of use, i do like to be aware of what the psp community is up to... and of course i do take action against serious or blatant abuse of my art and terms.

in many respects i am also asking members of the psp kill zone™ to "police" the use of my art on my behalf. as members of the kill zone you are all keenly aware of my terms of use and therefore informed enough to be able to point out the mistakes of taggers in your many other groups should they arise.

are snags allowed?

snags are fine (for now), so long as the appropriate copyright appears on any snags that make use of my art.

are blank tags allowed?

this is a tricky one. my thoughts on blanks are that they are actually quite easy to "steal" for non-psp kill zone™ members and should be shared with care... consider this:

a member of the psp kill zone pays $20 for the privilege of using my tubes. they spend hours and hours preparing tags with this art, and share blanks with the groups they are also members of, many of whom have not paid that same $20. despite their following of the rules, can they guarantee that someone wouldn't take their blank, tube it for themselves, and use it in breach of my terms... as non-members of the psp kill zone™?

i will not say no to blanks right now... but i would certainly urge caution in how you share them. perhaps, if a blank is being offered to a group as something for people to add their name to, it might be better if the person who created the blank be the one who does that... since they have the very real right to do so as members of the psp kill zone™. or maybe stamping the blank with a watermark for display purposes might discourage the stealing and use of it by non-paid members...

the bottom line is... this is an issue i need to think about more. but until otherwise notified, blanks are ok.

may i use the images in the gallery in my tags?

no.

in accordance with the terms of use:

  • only tubes and/or tags that reside in the restricted area may be used in emails, and only by members of the psp kill zone™ who have paid for access to this area and the files therein

you may add backgrounds of your own, but those backgrounds may not come from the regular looks can kill™ gallery.
